Our insurance company required us to hire a roofer to make some minor repairs and give our roof a 5 year life expectancy. I got many quotes, most of which only quoted a few missing shingle replacements at $325-$400. Anderson said they would replace the missing shingles, the curled shingles, and replace rusted nails for $750 as well as give us a leak warranty. We decided to go with Anderson so that we wouldn't have to deal with the roof for a while. They came and did the work when no one was home, were here for only half hour according to neighbors, and left what they stated the insurance company would need. Not only did they not finish the work (I still had missing shingles, curled shingles, and rusted nails) but they also screwed us over with the insurance company bc they misworded the letter. Now I'm out almost a grand, the work is not done, a huge storm just came through causing more damage, I have to completely replace my roof, and they can't even return a phone call.
We originally thought this roofer did a good job. They fixed a couple leaks for us and we did not notice any more leaks in the house. However, the last few jobs they did were done very poorly. They did not do the work they quoted us and used substandard materials. We just had a new roofer come out to fix the roof and he found that the boards they installed were not nailed down, they did not use the materials they said they would and charged us for, and they did not actually repair any of the areas they were supposed to. They just put flashing over the problem areas to hide them. These areas were still leaking, it just wasn't leaking badly enough for us to see. I would not recommend this roofer to anyone. They do not provide what they quote, and they do not actually fix anything, only patch over it.
He offers a "lifetime warranty", which is useless if he won't return your messages. We're moving on to another contractor and taking this is a loss and a lesson learned. Please don't make the same mistake we did.
Buyer beware! Paid contractor to fix a leak in my roof which had caused some water damage in my bathroom a few months ago. Contractor took my check and has not returned any of my calls or emails. Well now with the major rain storm that has hit Charleston, I have a leak in my roof in the exact same spot I had asked the contractor to fix previously. So he either never fixed my roof and just took my money, or he did such poor work that the leak has opened up again.
Very fast to get installation completed but once the job is done, you are on your own.
We are experiencing an issue with our new roof, the guy is nowhere to be found. We tried every possibility to contact the owner but he won't reply or answer to emails or phone calls.
I had a very good experience with Anderson Roofing. They came out to fix my ridge vent. It didn't take them long and thank goodness, my leaky roof is now fixed. I didn't pay them any money until the work was completed. Its hard to believe they have so many negative reviews!
