Needed a tow within my neighborhood after Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Irma and even though I've been a Plus member since 2009 and haven't used their services in years, they told me they would not honor the free tow to my home. I will NEVER use AAA again and have requested a full refund of my membership.
I took my truck to have oil change and check up. Satisfied with services.
I have complained to AAA about this place and my friend said he'd call AAA corporate too because he used to be the manager of one of their service centers and he hates to see bad management and people getting ripped off. AAA was apologetic, but it doesn't change the fact that this particular service center tries to rip people off
Helpful beyond belief. I had an appointment, but had to postpone everything on the list and have something else done. No problem. Got the work done in time to make a mid-afternoon appointment.
My van was towed to their service center after it stalled when my kid was borrowing it for the week. The next day they called quoted me $815 for a new gas pump which their manager, Tony, told me it needed. He sounded like he was lying to me, so I said no thanks and had AAA tow it to a friend's garage almost 80 miles away. Oh...btw, I told them it would be towed away and asked them to put it somewhere accessible for the tow truck to get it but the tow truck driver called me shortly thereafter saying they had put it in the corner and it was hard to get to. He asked me if it would crank and I told him I had no idea! Not cool of them to do that. It seemed vindictive and petty. Also, I forgot to add that when I had initially called, they said they'd look at it and call me with a quote before doing any work on it. I said okay. But when I said I didn't want to do the repairs there, they hit me up for a $100 diagostic fee. They DID NOT tell me they would charge the fee. You would think they would. I just paid them to get the van out of there.
We got our oil changed and tires rotated, the service was fast and we had a coupon for 17.19 We would definitely go back
Anyway, my friend called the next day and told me my kid must have forgotten to put gas in it because as soon as he put gas in it, it ran fine. No problem with the gas pump at all! He said there's no way Tony wouldn't have checked the tank and they were obviously trying to pull a fast one over me. They had tried that once before when they said I needed an entire brake system and when I called them out on it, they dropped their $700+ quote down to $400 or so. I will never go there again! Beware!!
