We were excited to learn about BJ's opening in Summerville. We bought a membership right away, but were quickly very disappointed in our choice. As new parents, we were hoping to get better prices on diapers and formula for our little one, so we thought buying in bulk would be the best option. BJ's Enfamil formula was priced at 49.99 in-store. This is quite a bit more expensive than Sam's, but we were willing to pay it because it was still cheaper than grocery store prices. However, I went online to BJ's website and saw that the same item was priced at 41.99, but would not allow pick-up in-store, only shipping (which of course costs extra). I called the store and spoke to a manager who stated that corporate sets the prices for both online, as well as in-store prices. She said that they would not honor the cheaper price... So basically, you end up paying the full-price to order online anyway... false advertising. Disappointing and dishonest. I've noticed similar issues with other products. I think we'll go with a Sam's Club membership instead.
Friendly and helpful employees. Prices are comparable to other membership stores. Bit of drive for me, but, I like shopping there.
It is convenient to have it all there, gas, liquor and the food. Great friendly people and prices .
Went shopping yesterday, and spent over $200, and atleast $80 was just meat... well, come to find out when i got home and was unloading everything and trying to put away my meat, i noticed almost everything i got meat wise, was very close to the sell by date, meaning the day before it expired. I had also grabbed some turkey bacon, that actually was expired, from 2 weeks ago! Very disappointed and plan to go to store to make a complaint and get my money back! Products need to be checked regularity to make sure they are still good to be sold, not expired!...what if me or my family would have eaten that, and gotten sick....I shouldn't have to waste my gas money to have to come back to exchange or get refunded, because people arent doing their job! Will never buy meat again from here!
The store is clean and you can get good deals if you take the time to clip coupons. They would get five stars but I hate clipping coupons for something that I'm already paying a membership for.. and the selection doesn't always match the coupons they send.
